What if western culture hadn't developed into being obsessed with consumer capitalism and the celebrity driven extremely materialistic entertainment industry, so that there was more of an emphasis on equality among all people?
Outside political thought such as communism (which rarely if ever has been realised on planet earth in a truly egalitarian and democratic manner), what do you think such a society would be like?
(btw the concept of a democracy isn't a political party as such but more of a type of government, so is not incompatible with a communist type of political movement).
