What's a new oddity you've developed since the world went mad?

I'll start:
I go into my car and sing. Sometimes I just hang out in there. It's nice to have a space all to myself. I don't find this strange. Apparently my neighbors do. Oh. Well. For them.

I've been watching ear wax removal videos on YouTube since the pandemic started.

Was that a response to lockdown or do you feel you would have been drawn to these videos under normal circumstances?

There is an industrial carpet steaming company who's videos I watch on loop occasionally. I found them years ago. I will still think of them and watch them. In fact...

At this time of year hanging out in your car would be a bit of a different experience here than there in LA,

As far as I can tell there hasn't been a new oddity enter my life since pandemic began, well, at least no new oddity other than the pandemic itself.

Still have plenty of model spaceships and trains to build; plenty of books to read or re-read; the cats to take care of; the sci-fi story I kind of work on writing; so forth and so on.

I've had interest in those videos before. I'm just more interested in them now.

I have become a chemist. I taught myself how to extract alkaloids from plants through synthesis to create concentrated tinctures.

I got twice the boredom.

The only thing that's been restraining me are the law, courtesy and laziness.

But also twice a chance to be alone -- I got no job, while both my mom and my sister are frontliners.
So I did twice the house chores as before.

The sad thing was losing interests... It just happened. End up half done arts and crafts. :? Half read collections of articles and books...

Also a chance to study this stupid fluctuating cycle of nonsense -- with less stress factors of working 8-10 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Then I ended up with... Twice as long meditation.
My sleep didn't change a thing still. My 'luck' didn't changed either.

Yet twice as distracted due to loss of interest, did end up getting caught in entertainment... :|

I had a partial phobia about going in som larger shops. Since the virus restrictions with the queues etc, I can only really go in some smaller shops today. The big ones are too risky as with all the facemasks (Which I can't wear but I wear a face shield but it gets in the way and makes me begin to panic) ad the one way systems which one can get "Closed in" I risk getting full on shutdowns. My Mum who does not get shutdowns still finds things difficult so she avoids some shops as well. So we may go without some things because we can't get them.

ASMR videos. I find them very relaxing to watch.
