For context, I live with my parents and my sister. On the 30th, my sister suddenly started vomiting uncontrollably and had a really weird heart rate. They took her to the ER and she ended up having Covid-19 and it was affecting her heart so she had to stay in the hospital for 3 days. I found out she was positive while at work, so I had to go home and begin quarantine then. Once she was more stable and came back home, she stayed in her room at first but she occasionally comes out to talk with everyone and has forgotten her mask a couple times. We also still share the bathroom. Me and my parents got tested twice for covid, once the day after she was admitted and once this week. We had negative results both times.

I just got a letter in the mail by the Health Department that explained that instead of ending quarantine on the 14th like I have on my leave of absence, my projected end date is the 17th because my latest official exposure is the day she came back. But then it also said if I live with the person and there's repeated exposure to go by 14 days after she gets better, and she still has intestinal symptoms. (She never developed a cough or had anything above a low grade fever.)

I sent pictures of all the papers in the envelope to my boss asking what I'm supposed to do, but I didn't get a response yet. I'm worried about how long I'm really going to be gone.
