why drink rum or whisky when vodka exists

Last week as an experiment I brought a bottle of over proof rum from my local super market.
Over the past week I have tried to force myself to drink this toxic spirit.

I have mixed the rum with coke, simple spirit and other mixers.
I lastly settled on Lilt (with a totally tropical taste!)

and the rum still tastes pretty crap to me, when compared with even bad quality vodka let alone grey goose or something.

I have had similar experiences with Whisky and Bourbon...And i now think...

Why in the hell would anyone drink whiskey or rum...
When vodka exists?.... Why?! !!

I like rum.
Vodka tastes like s**t to me.

Don't wonder why other people do what they do.
Just know they do, and do what you want to do.
It's all do do anyway.

Vodka goes with orange juice

Rum goes with coke.

Vodka also goes with white wine mixed with any mix of citrus fruit juice (that is just spike any white wine wine cooler with vodka) and you have an uber screwdriver that I call a "Siberian Surfer".

Vodka is best served neat.
Ask any Russian.

If you have to mix it, it's subpar quality.

I've never had rum or vodka. I had whiskey once and liked it.

Rum, Coconut Rum, Spiced Rum. I rarely drink alcohol but I prefer rum when I do decide to drink.

If you have a friend , who has the money , I got to try a 30 yr old Scotch ,, it was so smooth you could barely taste .
Old Scottish Scotch , are quite impressive .. but it has been over 20 yrs but for a Scotch , there is few on the market like a ancient Scotch .....but quality vodka used to be a good mixing liqour .

Kraken Rum(a spiced rum) and coke is loovely! A good whiskey is amaazing. I tend to drink rose or champagne. There are some great cocktails out there too. In Mayfair, London there’s an amazing place called Mr Fogg’s Residence. One Sunday afternoon, I had a Tipsy Tea there like no other! It was amazing, like stepping back in time. The drinks were totally unique!

Vodka, ugh.
I'm very fond of whiskey, especially in an Irish coffee.
But mostly, here in the tropics, a cool and refreshing gin and tonic goes down vey well.
I've heard there's a thing called a mojito made of rum and lemon, I think? Which is getting popular here but I've yet to try it. I'm a bit wary with rum after getting sick on it as a teenager.

the only time I've had Rum was in Rum balls (chocolate truffles)
I like Jim Beam with diet coke.

I prefer rum. The best mixer I have found is pure mixed tropical fruit juice.

I have only one thing to say to all of you.

I don't drink any alcohol.

My dad used to cut that with water and put it in a Vodka bottle to take to parties.
If I wanted to drink, I'd make my own wine.

I would pose the question, if you have whisky, vodka, bourbon and beer then who needs wine?

Well I like cinnamon whiskey an I do like rum sometimes....but i do like vodka. That said I think I like gin better than vodka.
