Hi,

I was in my school on Tuesday with a really bad migrane. I was made to sit down my the office and work there because it was seen as quieter. By mid-morning break it was really painful and I started to get tearful. I was made to go outside by the headteacher even though I kept telling her the noise was too much. After the break I was in agony, I was tearful and some teacher were being nice to me. The headteacher pushes them out of ther way, tells them she'll deal with me, then she starts shouting at me to act my age and that I'm being ridiculous. She tells me to go to the school toilets, wash my face and when I return I am not to be upset. This terrified me, I've always hated conflict and shouting. When I went back I was still upset. I was allowed to go home at the end of the day. At about 6pm I fell asleep, (bearing in mind I only normally can get to sleep after 12:30am.)

I really do not want to face my headteacher or my school now for fear of conflict so I haven't been for two days.

I personally would have punched said teacher. NO ONE SHOUTS AT ME and gets to survive afterwards. (apart from my parents)....

Technically (at least according to personality tests) so am I. But My anger has a tendancy to ignore that rule....

I am also an introvert. However I can easily get angry and flip out infact I do most of the time...

it could be the fact that I am also bipolar...

I get so tired of ignorant "normal" people who have closed minds and do not take the time to understand our "disability". I personally prefer to call this a "difference". Have you noticed many NT's have average intelligence and most Aspies have above average intelligence?

So more than likely I would of beat the teacher up and got Arrested lol

You don't have to. Tell me where you live. Actually just tell me where the school is located. I'll take care of it.

In 7th grade I was late for school, and I was 5 feet from math when the speech teacher made me see him. When I could go, I really had to use the bathroom and since only 5 minutes of class was left I figured no one would care. I was in the bathroom longer than I thought and I was washing my hands when the principal came in and yelled at me for not telling anyone I was in there. Then I was getting my science stuff when the principal, vice principal, and speech came up and the Mr. S yelled at me. All I did was go to the bathroom so I yelled back and Mr. F made me go to the office. Then he called my mom and made up some story so I called him a liar and ran out. Then my mom was taking me home because I was suspended 3 days and I told her what happened we came back fo a meeting where the teachers still wouldn't say they yelled at me. At least you weren't in that mess.

It sounds like the teacher didn't believe that you had a migrane headache, or doesn't understand how painful they are.

I haven't had a migrane headache, but people I know of who have them become totally debilitated - e.g. one has to stay in a quiet room with all of the shades pulled down and lights turned out until the migrane goes away.

If the teacher doesn't understand, you could say something like the following: I get these horrible headaches at unpredictable times. Noises and lights (or whatever affects you) make it much worse. Usually it goes away after a few hours (or however long it takes for you). And that's what my migrane headaches are like. It will probably happen to me a few times at work in the future. I'm explaining it to you, O teacher, so that you know what is happening to me when I start groaning and so on. When it happens I can only do things at like 20% of normal ability and it hurts a lot, so please don't think I'm just begging off of work or being too willfull.

There is a chance that this explanation will help. You may also have to explain why you have been avoiding the teacher for two days, I guess...

On the other hand, if the teacher really doesn't trust you and thinks you are somehow manipulative, then I don't have a good idea for how to change the situation.

I found out you aren't supposed to talk back to teachers. It don't get why when they do stupid stuff like that. One of my 7th grade teachers yelled alot when she said something, and I couldn't stand it so sometimes I walked out. Only they made big deal and I was suposed to tell her when that happened. But she was teaching so I couldn't. :?

Sounds like me, lol....

In all seriousness, that is abusive. Find out who you need to complain to, and make an official complaint in writing.

My second grade teacher only yelled at me once or twice but according to my mom (who often volunteered at my school) when she did yell you could here her at the front enterance which was more then 100 feet away (and with the classroom door closed thats no small feat.) After that it was generally other students bullying me that made me want to leave class, by middle school I had basically a perminant hall pass (but I only used it a few times.)

I used to get bad migranes (the fuzzy vision ones) in times of bad stress, like my exams or when work got busy. I haven't had one for years, though, maybe my life just hasn't been stressful lately.
