Do you know where the darkest spot is in your house?

Do you like it or hate it?

Are you light sensitive?

I'm light sensitive but I absolutely hate the spot between my staircase & bathroom before the safety light kicks in. It's pitch black if I turn the bathroom light off. I keep feeling like if I walk across it I will fall down the stairs. Academically I know that the safety light exists but I keep forgetting.

I had a darkest spot and put a lamp there that I never turn off. That was very helpful for me.

I have an underground cold cellar in my house, with no windows. I absolutely love it. In fact, I had a bed in there for a while so I could sleep without the intrusion of any daylight. I still wore a blindfold just in case.

Of course there was a lamp if I needed it, but I didn't use it.

In general, I can navigate very capably in the pitch dark. I think I have cat eyes. :cat:

Probably the closets. I don't think they would be comfortable.

Probably the part of the basement that has no windows, around either corner from the door that leads to the part that has one small window. I don’t particularly care for it, but that’s just because there’s only concrete to sit on, spider webs to run into, and old fishtank equipment to bash various body parts on. I’d like it more without the spider webs, I can’t stand the feel of running into those. I just bury my head under something when I need more darkness than is available wherever I am (usually my bedroom). I’m not particularly light sensitive (which is very surprising given how hypersensitive I am to basically everything else), but when I’m experiencing sensory overload, I have to have as little additional sensory input as possible.
