Hey! I just got a video game called Dance Dance Revolution, and I was wondering if anyone else likes it!?!??!? I have Ddr Max, and I was wondering if there were any experienced players that could give tips to a Newbie. (I am pretty bad at it, but...I am slowly improving.... x_X) What are your favorite DDR songs? I like the songs Matsuri Japan, Butterfly (Upswing Mix), Waka Laka (E=MC2 Mix), Candy (Vocal Mix), Dancing All Alone, Midnight Blaze, Ordinary World, Dream a Dream, and Mr. Wonderful. (I know, I know, A lot of songs....but they are SoOoOoooOOO Cool!! !) Also, Does anyone know how to unlock the song Candy in Ddr Max?? Thanks a bunch!! ! :D

This seems to be a trend with a lot of momentum. Lots of people seem to be getting this game-- and losing weight because of it.

Well, I've only had the game for about a week...so I haven't lost weight yet. I don't want to lose any...but the game is so addictive....

Theres a kid here at college that is at a professional level.

I'm not that good yet, and the game gives me some insanely painful leg cramps, but it is fun.

My best tip is to keep your energy up, bounce more then step, and that you don't have to remove your feet once you have hit the step (so you can walk around the pad, instead of tyring to stay in the middle).

Some of the people you see "playing" it down at the local arcade amuse me greatly..... Some bodies are just not meant to be seen moving that vigourously in public......

Well, I have DDR Extreme and DDR Max thought I'm better at the former one of the two. I'm pretty much a newbie myself though, there's only a couple songs I do well on normal mode. I think my favorite songs from both games are: Dam Dariram, Bizarre Love Triangle, Tsugaru, and .59! And I just want to say I LOVE your avatar!

I haven't bought DDR yet. But I've played at an arcade a few times. One song I remember liking is Butterfly. Dam*, now it's stuck in my head again. I'll probably buy it with my next paycheck. Anyone here build there own pads?

I'm the master of spare time so I have had lots of time to practice and become rediculouly good at DDR.

I played this arcade game once. I liked it alot, was considering buying it... but decided against it since buying a pad that would support my girth would be quite pricey.

If the price is right, and the song list is good, I might pick up DDR with Mario for the gamecube. Nintendo usually makes good controllers so hopefully the pad they make is of good quality.

I own Donkey Konga, which is another music rhythm game... that uses bongo controllers. That game is a lot of fun as well, it may not be the same excersize as DDR, but it does get you moving more than your average computer game does.

I finally bought DDR Extreme yesterday. After looking at the pad and realizing there's no way I could dance while weraing shoes I had to be reminded of something: I'm flat footed. After about ten to fifteen minutes of dancing, my feet were killing me. The pad also slowly moved while I was dancing, weird. Still lkie it though. Can't wait for the GC one to come out.

If they make a version you can play with a gamepad, keyboard and mouse, or a joystick, then and only then, would I consider it.

I spend all these years training with my hands, and then they make a game I have to play with my feet? Thats ridiculous, so I'll sum it up with a ridiculous poem:

I've the quickest hands in the west
That means I am the best
Don't make me use my feet
Or else I'll get depressed

Boo-Yah!

They do. I forget the name of the PC version you can download off the net, but there is FlashFlashRevolution.com which has a version you can play on their site. I really like the music though. Crazy Japanesse Techno music rocks.

Many freshmen in my school play that game. I didn't know you could buy it, I thought it was an arcade thing.
