Came up with a random thread idea: what are some of your favourite names? Could be meaning, sound, anything really.
Some of my favourite names is Ira, meaning watchful, and Marianne, because it sounds beautiful.

Siobhán.

It's an Irish girl's name. Irish names are beautiful but what's funny is how it's really hard to know how to pronounce them if you're not familiar with Irish spelling.

It's often pronounced (written here phonetically in English) as "Shih-Vawn" but I think a more authentic pronunciation in Irish might be "Shuh-Wahn", although it might depend on regional dialect from what I've gathered.

I like the names Ilia, Aryll, and Hena. I got those names from Zelda characters, but I always thought they were pretty. Women in Zelda games always have nice names.

This is very true! There's a name that's one letter away from Ilia that I found in a book trilogy which I loved the sound of: Ilira. It sounds and looks beautiful to me

I like names with pretty or strong meanings, especially nature themed names. One of my absolute favorites is "Lumi" which means snow. My mom has the name of a flower and I'm slightly bitter that she didn't make it a thing with her kids.

Perhaps you'd like the Finnish names "Urpo" and "Yrjö", then. They're both old men's names and were popular back in the day, but the first literally means "moron" and the latter "puke."

Also, while not popular, "Marina" is a woman's name and it means "whining."
