Freaking cute.

Back in the day people here used to make tea out of cow dung [and inject ill horse's pee into its muscles]

The most expensive coffee currently is coffee eating monkey doo which is apparently delicious. It's as odd as people wanting to smell like deer knees or whale puke, or Hvalur beer, whale testicle beer.

I'm actually not sure, maybe if someone like that who hasn't bathed for that long does take a bath it makes them ill?

Y'know like how when someone's starving and they eat their first meal they often are sick right after.

Slowly, slowly.

Plus Elizabethans had a similar although not identical attitude to bathing. Bathing was seen as dangerous. Keeping perfumed and cleaning your clothes, however, was not.

I'd be afraid to sit in the same room with him, just for that very reason.

I have to wonder if this story is real or made-up.  It would not be the first time a story came out of India involving a person's allegedly "miraculous" lifestyle that later turned out to be no more than hoax and hype.

There's this joke about White of Isabella, a dirty unclean white and I think Isabella is a biblical figure.

Then there's the Isabella white Husky dog.

Then there's the biblical Jezebel

'But I have this against you: that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a ... to teach my servants that sex sin is not a serious matter; she urges them to ...'

I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her sexual immorality. ... Jesus had given a woman identified as Jezebel time to repent, despite her ...

Has it not been told my lord what I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of the Lord, how I hid a hundred men of the Lord's ...

Anyhow, the man might just need a serious sweat workout to shed his dirt scales.

Found one!

Indian Mystic Claims Not to Eat for 70 Years

The observation periods were no greater than a couple of weeks, at most -- certainly not any longer than the average of 40 days it takes for the human body to start consuming itself for nourishment.

Strictly speaking, the tests performed by Prahlad Jani's followers neither proved nor disproved his claims.  However, it is clear that without "miraculous" intervention, no human being can survive without food and water for even one year, thus putting Mr. Jani's seventy-year claim squarely in the "Impossible" category.

Not unusual.  The Survival instructions I had in the military taught me how to live off the land, and which roots, grasses, barks, and leaves are edible.

Ever eat a pine tree?  Many parts are edible.

That's cool.
There's this tasty small pine tree which spawns parts like long fingers off the top, they are so delicious but also full of sticky substance.

They are like nature's minty candy.

Sounds a bit unlikely, given this:

Quote:
He hasn't taken a bath for nearly seven decades because he is scared of water. He is of the belief that if he will bathe, he will fall ill.
Quote:
He also drinks five litres of water every day from a large rust tin can
If he's scared of water how does he manage to drink it?

Also, the recommended intake for men (so Google informs me) is around 2 to 3.7 litres/day - so drinking 5 litres/day of presumably filthy water is very bad health news for at least two reasons.

Quote:
He wears a war helmet not to fight off enemies but to keep him warm during winters.
Which presumably also counters the effects of loose fitting short-sleeved garments and no footwear. Or does he have a whole new winter wardrobe stashed away somewhere?

Nah. Bunkum.

I think that's actually the coffee beans after they've been passed by said monkey.
But still: :eew: :eew:

This is not exactly uncommon amongst people with mental illness. They're afraid of water touching them/in their face/flowing over them or being immersed in it, but they still drink water/coffee/juice etc. It's more of a sensation On them thing (or even a fear of drowning thing) vs. a drinking it from a cup thing.

That sounds a little like one of the symptoms of rabies, no?

Dunno, not familiar with that.

But I *do* know someone w/ a variety of mental health issues (and is rabies free!) who drinks plenty of coffee and water But is "afraid of water," when it comes to bathing so they will go many days w/o showering just to avoid the sensation of water in their face and flowing over them. It is definitely a thing.
