That's whats known as "serendipity". you're looking for one thing, that you fail to find, but do find something else.

You look for the Loch Ness Monster, and you find a Wellington Bomber instead.

Or you try to find the short cut to the far east from Europe. And you stumble upon the American continents instead.

Here is the Wellington in its full glory. Am familiar with the Lancaster, Halifax, and mosquito. Don't know much about the Wellington.

Speaking of serendipity. Here is an American bigfoot enthusiast who...seems to have been looking for one thing (bigfoot), but may have found something else (a grave of an unknown victim of human homicide). the grave is at around five minutes into the 35 minute video.
