I am an opened minded skeptic about that sorta thing, and do know a lot about astronomy since it been a special interst for a long time.

Then let’s think about it?

Number of stars in the universe (that’s a question)

Our star (the sun) has 7 planets?

Odds of alien planets are...?

While logic dictates the likelihood of space aliens, there is no valid empirical evidence to prove their existence.

The acronym "UFO" stands for "Unidentified Flying Object", and not for "Spacecraft of Extra-Terrestrial Origin" until proven otherwise with valid empirical evidence.

The physical universe is measurable; therefore, it exists.

I understand there’s a freedom of information request submitted last year and the US gov are planning to reveal all in June this year.

It would be amazing if they had serious proof.

The best thing for a long time

You can google the famous "Drake Equation".

Buts let see if we can make our own equation.

Lets keep things within our own galaxy. There are about 100 billion stars in our galaxy, and each would have say ...five planets. But what are the odds that any given planet has life? What are the odds that life would get beyond the bacteria stage? It took life three billion years to get from bacteria to amoebas. At about 600 million years ago it jumped from amoebas to jellyfish. Then it took that long ago to only a million years ago to evolve humanlike primates. It was a miracle that the sun didnt supernova and snuff us out in all of that time.

Also you have to take into account stellar evolution. The Universe formed fourteen billion years ago, but the first stars only had hyrdogen and helium. It took several genearations of stars dying and reforming before we would could have heavy elements to make planets out of (and make living things out of).

So basically our sun make have been in the first "graduating class" of stars that were even able to have life bearing planets.

Just thinking aloud here.

But the point is that ...on one hand there are a lot of dice to throw (a lot of stars and planets out there), but each dice may have a lot of sides with only a few that have (intelligent life capable of building interstellar space craft).

The UK is in more debt than the number of stars in the universe. :lmao:

OK, I'll stop now.

Supposedly, there are between 100 billion and 400 billion stars in our Milky Galaxy alone.....and the Milky Way Galaxy makes up a small section of the Universe.

I would say the quantity of stars in the Universe is least in the quadrillions (a quadrillion is 1,000 trillion).

I’m betting the universe is more like 50 billion years old and some aliens are a billion years more advanced than us?

Interesting...

I used to be into reading alien abduction stories but have recently moved on (through Parapsychology...and good ole David Icke) to the existance of Archons living here on earth!

Do I believe it is real? I have no idea, as as with inccubi and succubi experiences, I am still doing my research...

Doubt that the universe is that old, and doubt that there are aliens a billion years ahead of us.

But if star system with an identical history to ours formed one tenth of one percent earlier than ours did, then life evolving on a planet in that identical system would be one tenth of one percent (one part in a thousand) years more advanced than ours. Our planet is 4.5 billion years old. So the beings on that planet could 4.5 million years more advanced than us.

The Infrastructure bill just now being considered by the US Congress is over a trillion dollars. Thats the American trillion ( a million times a million) not the bigger British trillion. But even so...

Imagine that amount, but not in dollars, not in pennies, but in Italian Lira!

Italian lira are 1648 to the dollar.

So imagine counting out enough enough Italian lira to fund Biden's new infrastructure bill...1648 trillion coins.

Click, click, click, one by one....

Even that would be less then the number of stars out there!

So a quadrillion stars each with 5 planets around them, so how many species of aliens are there?
