I was bored at work today and someone was talking about who was dating who and I got to thinking about strange romantic relationships between fictional characters.

Sherlock Holmes + Luna Lovegood

Dr. House + Trinity

Nancy Drew + ???

Come on... I know I'm not the only weirdo that thinks about this kind of thing.

but Luna Lovegood and Sherlock Holmes would never work, because Sherlock is old enough to be her great-great-grandfather or something...Luna is about 16-17, and Sherlock was...what? around in his 40's way way back to the Victorian ages or something?

Plus, she has to like him because he brings so many people to her clutches. The only problem, I think, would be that Death likes Marry Poppins, which Nny would never tollerate.

Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter) and Delierium (The Sandman), the two weirdest, airy-est girls in fantasy fiction. I don't think they'd become lesbian lovers or anything, but they could be best friends.

Severus Snape (Harry Potter) and Selene (Underworld). Ah, what a decadent gothic romance that would be.

Edward Scissorhands and Pyramid Head (from Silent Hill). THAT would be friggin' WEIRD.

Alucard (Hellsing) + Abel (Trinity Blood) = My favorite fictional character pairing of all time. All the art and fanfics I've found seem to give the vibe that Alucard would force himself on Abel, but I fantasize about them having an affectionate, "married couple" type of relationship.

Phoenix Wright (Ace Attorney series) + Derek Stiles (Trauma Center series) = Sort of kind of like my version of the aforementioned A+A relationship, except with more balanced gender roles.

It's almost frightening how there's just so much of this pairing. Not that I actively go looking for that kind of thing, I mean. Excuse me while I get back to my ReBoot slash.
