Best Clothing Brands for Women with Autism

What are the best clothing brands for women specifically with autism. Or what type of stores have good clothing for autism even if it's not specifically for autism?

Are there any good regular clothing brands such as American Eagle, H&M, Old Navy, that have good clothing for women with autism whose skin is highly sensitive to textures and fabrics of the clothing?

I buy things that are soft or I wash things until they are soft, if they don't get soft I trash them. I usually shop at Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic. I buy most of my underwear from Target.

Do you have Weird Fish in the US? It's a surfer brand. They do 100% cotton clothing.

I find outdoor brands good Hiking, skater, surfer clothes like Regatta, Trespass, Fat Face.

LL Bean seems “autistic friendly”, somehow.

Nike and Eddie Bauer are my favorites as they are usually soft and well made. Old Navy is good for athleisure.

I got to Marshalls or TJ Maxx - they have all sorts of brands. I found these great cotton pants I wear around the house all the time. Not sweats per say but that style of relaxed fit soft with great pockets!

Universal Thread's 100% cotton tops. Not all of their tops are 100% cotton, so you have to pick and choose.

Lucky Brand makes some nice cotton tops as well.

For denim I love Rock Revival, Mavi, True Religion, and Miss Me (most are 98% cotton, 2% elastane, but again you have to check to be sure).

The only underwear I will touch is Charter Club (100% cotton, no tags).

Lounge pants: No Boundaries made some some 95% cotton / 5% elastane yoga pants.

I always check the fabric composition, but in general these bands have delivered decent options in my experience

If something does have tags, the best way to remove it is to get a seam ripper (sewing supply shop), rip the stitches out with that little tool (and if necessary, restitch the hem back in place). Sometimes the hem will still be intact after removing the tag, it depends on the clothing.

Thrift stores. Go to the section and size you want, rub across the hangers, anything that feel particularly soft, silky or comfortable gets picked up. Stiff and rough clothes have no chance of making it into my closet. Practice a few times, and you'll become a pro at picking up soft comfortable clothes for no more than a couple dollars each.

Carve Designs is a women-owned surfer brand out of California that makes a range of comfy office-casual wear as well as swimwear. I own several versions of their 'Dylan' top, in different prints. It's super comfy and looks appropriate at the beach or in an meeting.

You can buy direct from their website or through different stores. I've bought their clothes on sale at both REI and Moosejaw.

I really like Carhartt shirts. They've light-weight and comfy.
