Back in 1992 or around that time, I saw a movie from the UK in a local theater. The plot was about a young woman in her twenties trying to meet a man through dating services only to be repeatedly disappointed. She was white. Her apartment complex had a young black man living on the first floor who was equally lonely. He would try to talk with her but could not get past "hello". It didn't Dawn on her that he was interested so she wasted more of her time searching before realizing all she needed was residing in her own building right under her nose. They get together in the end. It was sweet and decent as he takes her hand and they become a couple...finally. I can't remember what it was called. I think her character name was Nadia. Does anybody know this movie? The young male actor resembled a younger version of Denzal Washington. Kevin Allen had a bit part in it too. He was a terrible and mean date for the girl.
