It is not paranoid fantasy to know that every government is engaged in cyber-warfare with each other, using AI technology.

Behold, Google DeepMind.

Clearly, investing 400 million into something is a paranoid fantasy, for the U.S government.

In case anyone does not think a persons figurative hands are tied when revealing government secrets, does anyone remember this guy?

I'm not sure...Is he the guy that hacked Area 51, because he wanted to see if there were evidence of aliens ?...There have been lots of hackers over the years.

He did nothing wrong but gain political power by gaining so called secret knowledge. He didn't ask for any money for any of his deeds.

He used the political power to free people, whilst making zero currency of any kind for himself. A true hero of the Autistic community.

Not familiar with cyber warfare and that stuff, but I really like the idea of AI/machine learning.

My dream is to train it on data from my own creative pursuits and create a copy of myself that can make similar art/writings/music/whatever to what I'd do in the first place. I would become its supervisor, pruning the creations here and there to make them better.

I've already assembled the data from years of gathering, scanning, digitising, editing, etc., have almost 2 terabyte of it now. Sadly I've never had the chance to learn computer programming but once AI toolkits come with interfaces I'm going to get to work. If anyone has any insider advice I'm all ears.

I am sure that will be possible in the next couple of decades, commercially.

it's currently able to copy your *style*, but not your creativity. A lot of illustrators etc. are obsessed with their individual style, which, when you take a look at instagram, almost always feels far less individual very quickly.

some combine their style with repeating themes and symbols. That, too, can be done already.
But beyond that AI is still far from being original. At best, it's random.
