From the Doom series, I prefer Doom 3 preferably the BFG Edition. Doom 3 itself is an underrated gem that deserves more praise than what it got at the time of release. Old Doom games, you fought the doom. New Doom Games, you ARE the doom. In Doom 3, however, you felt the doom. You felt the very definition of the word doom.
I also like Doom 4 (2016) because after many years of old school shooters being shelved in favor of Call of Duty, this bad boy came out and said "Oh no, the old school ain't dead yet!"
fair estimation - but also the reason I prefer tje original and the very newrst version actually over the others, though I really don't care for the cartoonish cutscenes in eternal. I mean, I get they wanted to be ironic and self aware, but they kind of failed to be so, one lauer more abstracted.
btw., my favourite game would be quake, but I did find cruelty squad to be an extremely remarkable title - not so much as a game, but as piece of art.
you play a hitman, kill people for money and then use the money to gamble in one three stockmarkets. It's both hilariously surreal and very unsettlingly close to what reality feels like today, simultaneously...
