I heard this in a pub years ago and didn't know what it was. I could only remember three beats of the chorus and sing "la la la" to my daughter when I got home. For years I kept reciting the la la la beats without any words and she had no idea what it was. :P

Finally after years I heard it again! And got the title. What a great band.

I think the la - la - la must have been the three beats of "the - dog - days "

We call it The Dog Song now.
