Welcome to WP! I hope "meeting" electronically will suffice...we do that here.

Hello fellow Missourians. I'm new here, this is my first post/reply. I'm in Chesterfield (St Louis area). Anyone nearby?

Unfortunately no, I am in Oregon.

But anyway, welcome to Wrong Planet to you too!

Halfway across the state likely is beyond the range of 'nearby'.

Hmm, depends on how you look at it since we all measure it differently.

I'm 49 and never met another autistic or neurodiverse adult. My world is Wrong Planet and Lonely Planet. So I consider anyone within a couple hours drive 'nearby.'

I'm originally from Chicago, and then spent a few years in Springfield, IL, so I'm used to driving 2 hours to see friends in Springfield, IL.

If one's intent is to meet up, then I would consider 'nearby' as less than 1 hour drive.

Nearby can also mean anyone in the same state familiar with the system (groups, counseling, disability, etc).

Greetings and welcome! Wow! I've only been to Missouri once. I was tooling along the highway when I noticed the speedometer in my rental said it could do 135mph. I didn't believe it. It did. The police officer behind me went faster than that, though. I got side-tracked. Oh, yeah! Welcome!
