I recently started suspecting that I'm autistic, back last August or September. I've done a million of those online test thingies, and always score really high.
Hi! Welcome to Wrong Planet!
In addition to taking tests and interacting in the Facebook groups mentioned later in your post, I would guess you've also done quite a bit of reading about autism? If you haven't yet encountered the following websites/blogs, run by autistic women, you might find them to be useful sources of info:
-
Everyday Autistic, formerly
Everyday Aspergers, by Samantha Craft
-

I have no interest in wasting the money on a formal diagnosis, as I have many actual health problems I can't really afford to have addressed (such as Ehlers-Danlos, Auditory Processing Disorder which I am in treatment for now, congenital hip dysplasia, and probably some kind of dysautonomia).
As you may or may not have already learned by now, Ehlers-Danlos and Auditory Processing Disorder are both relatively common among autistic people (though not all autistic people have them).

Well, thanks for having me! I'm on a good few autism for women groups on Facebook, but it's nice to be in another group/forum where I'm around My People! Interacting with the neurotypical drains me so much!
Yes, it's great to have the online autistic community. I hope you enjoy Wrong Planet!
