i am not shy

i may be quiet in groups because i got nothing to say and i dont like socialising but it doesnt mean im shy

last weekend i was at the movies with my husband and his friend and friends kids and as the movie had started there were a huge group of teenagers talking loudly and even my husband and friend was annoyed so i stood up and shouted .

EXCUSE ME, WEVE ALL PAID TO WATCH SO SHUT IT!

that did shut them up and we all watched the movie in peace

I'm not shy either, I just don't like people. :twisted:

Gads, what is wrong with people? If the theaters wanted you to talk through the whole movie the chairs would be designed to face each other instead of at the movie screen. Lucky they didn't think you were the one being rude for telling them to be quiet and just kept right on talking.

I don't know if I'm shy or not, as there's many reasons why I avoid people. When there's many reasons, it's hard to determine whats what. "Nervous and timid around others." I guess I am quite shy and always have been unless I know the person well (which is a couple of people there).

I'm conflict avoidant across the board. This would be why I generally wouldn't tell people to be quiet regardless of being shy or not. I can see some bad outcomes there depending. Too many hotheads in this world, too much ego.
