This is like the You May Be Aspie If thread.

You may be ADHD if...

...you cancel your hairdresser or optician appointment because you're overwhelmed with too many other appointments and errands coming up and it's hard to remember it all

...you have a calendar but you never write anything down on it because you forget to, or if you do you forget to look at the calendar

...you forget to change your calendar when a new month begins, sometimes it's halfway through the month before you notice and change it

...you usually run out of cleaning supplies at work because you're in charge of ordering the cleaning supplies and you find it difficult to keep up with it (and usually your colleagues end up having to tell you)

...you often miss buses no matter how hard you try to manage your time

...you find it hard to resist impulses

...no matter how organised you have your desk, you always manage to get it cluttered and messy without you even noticing

...a lot of your posts on WP are impulsive posting

...words jump around the page when you're trying to read but it's not dyslexia, it's just your short attention span making your mind play tricks on you so you have to read words and sentences all over again

... you're slow at reading but can write fast

... sitting watching TV is almost impossible for you

...you dwell on things

You May Have ADHD if...

...you read the last page of a book first because you cannot wait to find out how it ends.

...you hunt for your cell phone while you are talking on it.

...You cannot see your alarm clock on the nightstand because of the stack of books you’re reading.

...You buy another organizing system, to organize your last five organizing systems.

...your students remind you of what you were talking about before you were distracted by one of them sneezing.

...you come up with a new answer for this list and I hope we are having potroast for supper.

If you constantly forget where you parked when you go to a mall.

You can't make a to-do list because finding a pen and paper is too complicated
You end up having 10 different to-do lists happening at the same time, but you can't find any of them
There are always about 20 tabs open on your computer, most of them being the same thing

Lol Joe,

I'm using a wall calendar from 2018 and shifting the days of the week in my brain.
Plus it's on the wrong month.
Thank you for the reminder that March is now over.

...the inspector is visiting your workplace today and you've got to keep consciously reminding yourself not to break any health and safety rules.

All I'm saying is that my wife, an NT and not someone with ADHD, is very very conscious about safety rules in her nursing facility----to the point where it becomes an obsession.

...If people who have been diagnosed with ADHD who talk to you come to the conclusion that you have it too? Is this a thing? Other ADHD people have assumed me to be one of them.

Sounds like I don't have it; only a few of these fit me, and a few more fit when I was a child, but don't anymore.

I suppose that's a good thing since I don't even have an ADHD diagnosis.

. . . your doctor recommends counting sheep to help you overcome with your insomnia.  That night, you begin . . .

"1 sheep."

"2 sheep."

"3 sheep."

"Cow."

"Duck."

"Horse."

"Old MacDonald had a farm!"

"And Bingo was his name-o!"

You start a summer camp and call it "The Cognitive & Behavioral Fun Time Vacation for People With ADHD".

Because "Concentration Camp" is no longer politically correct.

. . . you go online to take an ADHD test.

But you give up halfway through because it is too boring.

I disagree with this, my reading speed is well above average when I am allowed to use my native language. I can also find another WP member with ADHD who feels the same way.
