I was talking to my dad about basketball earlier. He said that 6ft6 is not big for a basketball player.

Would you agree with him on that or not?

In the 2021-2022 NBA season, the average basketball player was 6’6″ tall (198.6cm) which is about 8 inches taller than the average American male (5’9-1/2″).

A 6 foot 6 person in the NBA is usually either a "shooting guard" or a "small forward." Like Fnord stated, it's about the average height for an NBA player.

There was a person who was shorter than me who had a substantial NBA career: Muggsy Bogues, who stands 5 foot 3. I'm just under 5 foot 5.
