If you means "eggs of the chicken species" then the answer is 'the egg came first', because the first true fully evolved chicken had to have hatched from an egg. And that egg would have been "the first true chicken egg".
That egg would have been laid a prehistoric chicken-like bird that had almost, but not completely, evolved into a chicken.
Perhaps the egg layer would have been a now extinct 'saber toothed chicken'!
