Do you also would love to live eternally, like the main character of "Highlander" or David and his companions from Tananarive Due's novels?

Only think: all those countries (and later, when technology is developed enough, also planets) to visit, the knowledge to acquire, forming and extinction of beliefs and lifestyles you can observe... You're always young and can't die. If you were proposed being given an eternal life, would you agree for this proposition?

Sure, i would have all the time in the world to do the things I want, so long as I dont age, i wanna stay young (as stated). I would not be afriad of being killed, so id not be afriad of going over seas. hahaha.

Why not live forever? I quite fancy shaking off my mortality actually.

Nope, none of my friends would be there with me. Besides what happens when humanity screws up and kills themselves. Then your stuck alone forever. Got to have a way out.

Maybe no concept of forever anyway. And if the Universe does recycle itself the order from previous cycles would not likely be transfer to a new iteration.

I sure don't! Life has been a hoot and I've achieved every dream I've had, but, when I can no longer be independent, physically or mentally, I want off this rock! I look forward to the next adventure!

Suppose you were born a freak, or you got paralized or invalid: would you like to live forever? No life is organized in some kind of "relay system" and it's better that way.

But let's assume that your body can regenerate even after the most serious injuries. And in the future it will be possible to create new cybernetic bodies into which the brains will be transplanted, like in s-f films which will be much stronger and resistant than human ones. It's a thing of the future but I am sure that the world of future will look this way. After all, if you told someone from the medieval times how our time would be like, it's rather impossible that even a person with open mind would be able to believe you.

This is something to think about. It's tricky to give a good answer since there are so many various variables to consider and think about. Health, money, how will the world be, how will my area be, my living situations, my financial situations, living without the people that I love and/or know....

Tricky one this. I'm petrified of dying, because of the fear of the unknown; but I'm also petrified of living, because I wake up everyday fearful of what I'll have to cope with :?
