hi, I'm the single(unable to maintain any kind of a healthy relationship with anyone other than my children apparently) mother of a 6-year-old autistic (they say possiable savant) daughter who has defineatly "found her niche". The issue I'm having is that when I'm at her team IEP's (and theres 5 of them and me) or any of her therapists they all have seemed to reached the independent conclusion that "Your a little aspie" meaning me. (I did't even know they had slang terms until they said that to me...learn something new everyday I guess.) I need some answeres gotta go she wants to go outside will come back in a little bit, sure glad to find yall. Live a pretty isolated existance.

Hi there, Reika! I visited Anchorage/Denali area when I was 12 but haven't been able to return since. I have ex- inlaw's up there!

Thanks!! It only took me days, and A LOT of people were trying to help me to get it. If you read the "Just checking to see if my avatar comes up" thread you can kinda see what I went thru and how everyone has been helping me, gonna make them all shirts w/ my avatar for their help. Will make you one also. got it at photobucket. someone told me about it too. I'm old and computer illiterate. I love alaska, it's the only place i fit in.(as much as i'v ever fit in anywhere that is.)

I just got here myself. I live in Sitka, working for the Forest Service. Great job, but not a whole lot of young people to meet.
