Since it's April 30 Aka Walpulgris Night (halfway from Halloween) at 11:00 pm, I am curious to know if there are conservative or libertarian autistics out there that also embrace nuerodiversity and the social model of autism. Yeah I seen a blog with Autistics For Trump also called Autistic Conservatives with the Avatar being an Uncle Sam wants you poster.
Why is it that most of the only politically active autistics, including self-advocates are socialists and comminists which are the same thing? It would be a total hypocrisy for us in the Nuerodiversity movement, like Greta Thunberg, to try to prove wrong myths and stigmas from "professionals" like "Autism Speaks" that we can't think for ourselves or that we all have gifts with a curse, but yet look away from any autistic that although still embraces Nuerodiversity is otherwise a conservative or libertarian. It would imply that nuerodiversity self advocates can speak for themselves and get all the acknowledgement only if you are a liberal communist/socialist.
I understand Autism Acceptance IS Autism Awareness, just without the stigma and medical model only with its Jargon and being dominated and controlled by lobbyists like Autism Speaks.
For example, it seemed easier for Autistics to get into the US military in the 1970s or 1980s. But because of all these messages from Autism Speaks and the stigma that's spread, ANYONE DIAGNOSED WITH AUTISM is disqualified while transgender get to be generals.
