I suppose it's kind of symbolic of my life... general trajectory and all... always had flies, but now it seems there's these that crawl all over too, among others...

I was always messy that piled rubbish sometimes happened, outside of bins... but ever since a whole institution declared war on me (as described in other threads) and even decided to stop collecting rubbish like I thought such an institution was for (but no, apparently it's there only to harass others... using the rubbish it refuses to collect as a pretext, of course, what else)... well, my problem has become much worse, as effectively I have about 4 years' worth of rubbish inside, whether loose or in bags (about 30 of those)... yay for f u c king governments that never change and are seemingly going to be replaced by goddamn clones, I guess... isn't it, though, the most ironic thing that they blame me for the rubbish? They even called me a hoarder! As if I'm in love with it or some nonsense! Would be hilarious if they weren't threatening my annihilation! One of the people I told this story to (I ended up having to phone those organizations aimed at suicidal people... guess they haven't invented ones for those whose lives could be snuffed out not because of their own ideation, but due to society's utter psychopathy)... suggested I attempt some sort of murder campaign for the insects? "You know, they never did anything absolutely terrible to me, and landing on me isn't exactly the equivalent of murderous institutions... so, yeah, if I could spray goddamn councils and governments I would, but absolutely no other life"... is basically what I said...

Not to the degree you're describing, but I have had mushrooms growing in my room and isolated maggots a couple times. When it gets to that point I will clean it up.

Only insect I don't mind in my room is daddy long legs spiders where they kill and eat mosques but all other spider will meet there end, recently i had to kill a big spider with a old IDE hard drive. Keep in mind I live in a desert environment I have even ran into a scorpion

My flat got colonised by tiny fruitflies when I left the kitchen bin for too long. They're still here several months on. You'd think all my spiders would earn their keep, but no.

No, I'm really aggressive about removing food leftovers from my space.

My place is more cluttered than dirty so if a mouse, fly, or very very rarely, the dreaded roach gets in, it's usually from outside. Crickets are always wandering in. Finding them all is the challenge because they can hide easily. I probably shouldn't but I allow spiders because they eat flies hehe. I HATE moths like a phobia hate. I just take baby steps (like "what about bob") and clean up here and there, throw stuff away little by little.

colliegrace: oh, I had mushrooms too, and it was one of the most delightful surprises in my life, honestly... was it yours? Fungi are just so mysteriously interesting... I think mine were inkcaps, which I hadn't even heard of before (researched much after that, but I still couldn't find the specific species...)

markitzero: why not transport them outside instead?

Sweetleaf: no dumpsters nearby and I don't drive, and if I throw them outside presumably the same bastards who refuse to collect them would sue me, or whatever, for littering...

Well When the Spiders are as big as 2 inches in length including the legs and move crazy fast kind of hard to get a cup quickly enough and all I had near my bed was a old IDE Hard drive from a computer that I gutted because I don't have enough time to tell if it is a Brown Recluse spider. The scorpion since it was slow enough I trapped it and took outside across the street and let it go.

I've lots of spiders of varying sizes, here; I never bother them, they never bother me (remind me of Naraku). Btw, "There have been many reports of brown recluse bites in California—though a few related species may be found there, none of these are known to bite humans."
