Post an interesting, somewhat obscure subreddit(15k - 500k members give or take) that you recommend for us to browse. It can be funny, educational or interesting in some other way.

I will start it off.
Here's one that I think some of you might like, it's exactly what it sounds like:

It's about fish!

Maybe this thread should be in a slower board here, not sure which one I could post it in?

That is interesting. I didn't know so many people disliked dogs.

They probably hate the smell of dog piss, I have a dog, but my god do they pee everywhere, the owners don't use bleach or something strong to clean it up.

I think there's four types of people in that general camp.

There's people who are afraid of/otherwise uncomfortable interacting with dogs.
There's people who didn't mind dogs until they had to live with one; hygiene and behavioural complaints are common.
There's people who wouldn't care about dogs either way, except for being surrounded by ones with terrible owners; again, hygiene, aggression and other behavioural complaints are common.
There's people who are worried about the ecological impacts of widespread dog ownership and/or feral dogs. Hygiene and attacks/predation on other animals are the main concerns.

None of those can really be fairly reduced to dislike, even if dislike is a component. If you don't wish to be intruded upon, you'll dislike being intruded upon, but that's because you don't want it, not the other way around. Not wanting to deal with aggression, other negative behaviours, animal waste (and the pollution that results) and environmental impacts is a big broader than simply disliking something.

Personally, my like of animals extends to dogs, so long as I don't need to interact with them. Then again, I don't want to interact with bears or raccoons or chimps either.

Waste, along with partners, family members, neighbours and other owners who refuse to take responsibility for it is a big part of it.

I am not a big dog fan. I can relate to your other post further down the thread where you mention hygiene.

Dogs licking my hands puts me right off them.

I like them at a distance, but I wouldn't want to own one.

Cats are easier to deal with in my experience.
