I was wondering if anyone was interested in the development of a social network for autistic people. I often hear that there aren't enough adult resources for people who are autistic and are adult and also for people who are late diagonsed. Maybe the development of a social network for autistic that puts emphasis on the special interests of everyone could help people find others who are like minded like them. What do you think?

I'd be all for that.

And there's a monthly Zoom meeting at aane.org for people 50+. Next meeting is this Monday.

I was able to join last month's meeting, and can recommend it. Unfortunately, it comes at a particularly bad time for me (when I'm driving to choral rehearsal) so I will not be able to partake regularly. But it's definitely worth checking out.

That idea popped into my head as well, and was immediately squelched. In theory, it sounds cool to network with others like myself, but then my social anxiety kicks in and I can't imagine voluntarily getting online in real time with any group.

At least this forum is anonymous enough to have the advantage of communicating with similar people without the pressure of here/now/audio/video.
