January 2020, sister inherited a house and some cash from our parents.

Sister is a physician married to an electrical engineer and lives 15 miles away from me. They work three miles away from my house

Last year I barely too much for Section Eight Housing. Been working a part time minimum wage dumpster fire "job". Pretty soon will be too weak, old, and injured to do the job. Have been applying for other jobs for a long time and nobody will hire me.

I have been living in my parents' house alone

The past couple of times I bothered my sister, she said she was going to sell the house and put me in an apartment.

Three weeks ago someone stole my front yard garden hose. Last week someone stole my recycling bin. They are not expensive, but if I bought replacements, someone could keep stealing them. Besides, they were the most expensive things in the front yard because I don't have a car. If I had a car someone would have already stolen it. I asked my sister if I could put in a video tape. She said yes. Upon closer inspection, video tapes take too much time money and energy, and I don't know what I would do even if the video tapes got the suspects. Instead I just put up a sign that said that the house is under video tapes

Today my sister said that she came to my house to prune the trees. (I was not there because of my dumpster fire "job ")

My sister emailed me that I have to move to an apartment because I don't feel safe. She then added that apartments are not affordable

Minimum wage is not enough for room and board

need too much sleep, and I can't work two jobs

zero job skills and I can't work one job that will pay enough for room and board

Single

Zero "friends"

In undergrad, had a lot of roommates. Some of them were good and some of them were bad, but I am autistic and old and really don't want to deal with them anymore

Some apartments require that tenants earn three times the rent, as salary

Short of extreme situations such as living in the wild and being homeless, exhausted all the options a longfuck time ago

Plenty of people earn minimum wage. Some of them pay for rent, kids, drug addictions, cars. How do they do it?

Sometimes my feet and back hurt. Plenty of people are older and heavier than me and work more hours at a standing job. (Restaurant retail sales). How do they do it?

Paranoid about ending up homeless

Also do not want to move because:

Change is hard to adapt to for autistics

Public transportation and groceries might be inconvenient

Dangerous

Packing up takes a lot of time money and energy

Kitty

Rent, gas, childcare, medical insurance and grocery costs skyrocketing

I don't have children or a car

Plenty of neurotypicals have trouble paying for basic living expenses

Plenty of people earn minimum wage and pay for cars, kids, insurance, rent, groceries and et cetera. How do they do it?

I don't think they do. Either they are deeply in debt or someone is helping them, like their parents.

i never heard of anybody earning minimum wage able to afford more than a rented room [or couch surfing with friends] and a daily starvation ration of ramen, in most urban parts of the country, unless they had two full-time minimum-wage jobs 7 days a week. how they do it, for a lot of 'em, is living out in the sticks [lower cost of living] and taking uppers. otherwise no mere mortal has that kind of energy and endurance to do this day after day. in any case it is a hamster wheel of living paycheck to paycheck, and praying the paycheck lasts to the next payday.

It's November I, 2024 and sister still has not ordered me to move out

But I have no control over whether I not she sells the house

I am afraid that when she sells the house I will be homeless. Rent skyrocketing. My job just part time and minimum wage. Might get made redundant any day now s**t

Otherwise I am afraid of having to live with roommates. Or far from public transportation, my job, and the grocery store.

I guess I could bring my own shopping cart to the grocery store, which is inconvenient but desperate times call for desperate measures s**t

Plenty of areas are far from the public transportation.

Plenty of areas are too far from home Depot to work there by public transportation. Then I have to get another stupidass job s**t

Don't even want to transfer stores

Coping with change is a nightmare for me but whatever

Constantly overpowered out numbered outsmarted

Also due to reynaulds phenomenon I kind of want to move to a hotter climate but that's too expensive s**t

f**k s**t damn b***h ass hole
