I've only just noticed that if you click View Your Posts, the url says egosearch. Sounds narcissistic.

I'm probably the last to know.

I'm just interpreting the term "egosearch" as meaning that it's egotistical to want to see only all your own posts, all together.

I just thought it sounded kind of funny to me.

I'd better be careful while I'm posting. My Ego might be standing around the corner.

Let's not call it "narcissistic".

If you tell someone you did a "narcsearch" they might misinterpret.

I initially clicked "view posts since last visit" to check this out, thinking you meant that instead of "view your posts".

i click "view your post". And I never see "egosearch".

I also never am able to "view your posts". With that title I expect to see my own recent posts. But it shows all posts of the whole site's population.

I have definitely noticed that years ago.. especially since I always use the view your posts link.

I got a temporary ban for it once. Was so ridiculous. Couldn't message a moderator to explain a thing, just accused of something and temp banned. Another user accused me of "following them around the forum and responding to their posts." Umm, no, I never did any such thing. I went to the view your posts egosearch link and that user had posted in a couple dozen active threads that I had previously posted in, so I went and made some responses in active threads. Wtf? Talk about paranoid. Whatever, they haven't posed here for years.

It's view posts since last visit on the left (new posts site wide since you last visited), then the link on the right is view your posts -> only threads you've posted in.

the "=egosearch" or whatever it says Exactly is at the end of the url in your browsers status bar. I used to see this all the time, but now using this newer machine and a different browser it doesn't display the full url visibly so I don't see it anymore like I used to. Could be your OS/browser as to why you don't see the full url after clicking, or even just hovering over the link.

If Egosearch was an entity, he would be the devil waiting in the corner.
