Due to a certain person's extreme negativity about this party, I'm doing a poll to see if people actually do want a virtual Christmas party here. I'm happy to set it up, but if the majority don't want it, I shan't spend my energy.

It's a shame when some people are determined to spoil other's happiness but I don't want to force things onto people on Wrong Planet if they actually don't want them.

Yes, Kit. I have a date for the party. I bought a new, bewitching ensemble. I'll be there with bells on, even if I cry through the whole thing. I'll DJ along with whoever else wants to add music, and I'll bring my nan's shortbread.

My days of getting drunk in raves and pubs are well behind me, and I'd rather chill with people like you.

I would like to see it happen. Such an event would be for everyone, at least in spirit.

It's such a nice idea and such a kind thought for everyone to have a place to go. I hope you will continue with this idea. You are lifting up others and that might help lift you up too. Sending best wishes and hugs.
