Is a Shetland sheepdog.

It may look like it’s larger cousin, the rough collie, but it certainly doesn’t herd like a rough collie.

That dog was in my lap every chance she got. Now that my brothers have told me to go to hell, a dog is the only close friend I ever had. Mom put the last one down almost 40 years ago, 2 weeks after we buried Dad and a week after my 29th birthday.

They're lovely natured dogs and very intelligent. We had one called Jess. I'm thinking of getting one myself. My sister has two and my dad has had several. (summer and lucy).

They're not cheap though.
