Does Pink Flamingos count?

I remember when Life of Brian came out. I thought it was unfairly condemned.

However, some obscure films come to my mind. 1 2

There's one with Egghead, Isle of Pingo Pongo. I have to watch it since I'm doing a review series (which is going slow), but I feel it's illegal to watch and I wouldn't have any pros about it.

If you mean sexually explicit, then hell yeah!

The more explicit, and the greater the number of countries they've been banned in, the better.

If members of the religious right have protested them or tried to have the producers prosecuted, then yes.

More on those two films:

- Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter [2001]
- Ultrachrist! [2003]

Maybe they're too stupid to be offensive?

I'm pretty sure Divine eats a (real) dog turd in Pink Flamingos.

Song Of The South. It was controversial even at the time Disney was making it.

Spotlight

My mom, my NT sister, and I are Catholic and we say that this was a well-made movie worthy of all the awards it won over the course of the 2015-2016 awards season.

I've got to admit I'm intrigued by that "Freaks" movie. For years I've heard that "One of us" meme and had no idea what it actually came from. I even once used the "One of us" chant in a story I wrote in the late 90s or early 2000s and had no idea what I was really referring to. Or maybe I wasn't referring to anything and it was just a coincidence, but I really don't remember.
