I am a theistic evolutionist. I also believe in the teachings of Christ. What about you?

I've considered many of those possibilities, but I cannot vote on it because until I see more substantial proof one way or the other I can't form an official opinion on it. Right now theyr just theories.

Theory of evolution is simply not scientific, since science is about deduction of laws from observable facts, while evolution is about speculation of the past of current observable facts, based on induction.

What is most important is that Evolution use causal arguments as its basis.
The fact that we have simple and complex organisms does not imply causal relationship between them.Same could be applied on fossils as well.

Every reconstruction depends of interpretation, and there is no such thing as 'right' reconstruction.
Science of Biology has to do with organisms that exist here and now,not about how they used to be in the past,or how would they look in the future.

This, however does not imply that Creationism is right, since Creationism is also about speculations and goes beyond science.

P.S

In terms of Evolution/Creationism I'm basically agnostic.

I believe in the existence of a deity far beyond our capabilities of understanding. Nothing seems to come close to a good description of God. The closest seems to be those that describe God as permeating everything in existance, while the farthest is the Bible which describes God as a jealous old man.

I also believe in evolution, but it's far from random. All of the possible chemical combinations and elements were set in motion at the beginning of time. This was intentional.

I agree with Joecapricorn.. Evolution does not have to fly into the face of creationism... Maybe that is how God wanted to start the whole thing.

I lean more towards Darwin's Origin of Species, even though it may be flawed in places. Reason being that the timeframe given by creationist supposes that humans only existed from just befor the end of the last ice-age (about 15000 years ago) Fossil evidence suggests that human bone fragments (Lucy, for eg) goes back as far as 2,000,000 years at least, and evidence of cave drawings here in Australia puts the first known aborigines at around 40,000 years ago. Ancient stone axes and tools have been discovered which pre-dates the last ice-age, and evidence would also suggest with the similarity between apes and humans that there is some common ancestor, maybe 40,000,000 years beforehand. Before homo-sapiens (current man) we had Neanderthal man, homo-hobilus, homo-erectus, Cro-Magnon man, and various other sub families which were descendants of the order Simiae, and also decended from the main order Primata.
While the exact link could not be established, it is more conceivable for us to have evolved that way than to have sprung from the dust and been born in a series of incestuous relationships spanning only 15 millennia.
