For me, it's other way around. My previous bosses were only interested in money, didn't care about my health, weren't interested in my skills and things I want to learn, refused to talk to me. The task they gave me are way to simple. They didn't want to talk with me about my deficiencies.
Since March this year, I have a new boss. This boss also replaced two previous bosses, and their teams were merged (administrative and facility teams). He wants to talk about my skills, my ambitions, and a few weeks ago, he wanted me to take minutes of a few meetings. After the first two meetings, he said he was happy with the minutes and he wanted me to take minutes of the third. More meetings are to follow.
A few days ago he and a boss from another team opened their agendas to me. Perhaps they want me to teach complex agenda management, although I already know parts of the Outlook agenda system. For example, if he (or a higher boss) wants to make an appointment, he sends a request to me, which I can accept or reject (usually there is no reason to reject, so I accept).
