Post your coolest builds here, whether its structures, build hacks (legal, not actual hacks) or redstone.

I'll try to find some pictures. Not that my builds are that amazing, but they're something.

Okay, here's one. This is based on a real life chateau in France called Chenonceau.

It was an entry in an epic builds competition on a server I used to frequent. I was pretty pleased with this because it was done entirely in survival. It was fully interiored out too. This was over a decade ago.

This is my most recent build which is on my own server. A lot smaller in scale and more futuristic. Lot of quartz and glass! And unfinished as yet. I only play with my kid these days so don't have much time.

^Thank you. I was a bit disappointed no one else posted in this thread. Not even the OP! Not enough MC players I suppose.

I don't think I got any screenshots, but last time I played, I was putting little forest ranger fire lookout towers in random locations. They were pretty cute.
It takes a lot of wood (I don't know if I wrote down how much), but I got pretty good at throwing them together.

Usually I just build a shaft straight down until I hit bedrock, or a tower straight up until I hit the sky, or maybe a little of both.
The towers are pretty fun, but you can only climb so high until the limited draw distance means you won't have any sort of view at all.

I was also making sky forests for a while, and that was kind of fun...somewhat dangerous, too.

I'm going to post some pictures, bit by bit. I've been building in Minecraft for about 13 years.
One of the things I enjoy is making are "giants"

This is from 2012.

This I took today, but was made in 2012, maybe 2011.

Jowjo the "monkey" boy. Me and "Big Me" I'm a chimp, not a monkey.

I have no idea where I built this. I have two servers. One is mine. One is a co-worker/friend. I have a copy of his server files. It was built in the summer of 2017.

This is an overview made with UnMined-GUI
Image
This is an overview of one of the servers I build on. This was not my server. It is now. The Server God gave me a copy when he shut down his server.

In the bottom left there is a minecraft generated village. The guy that ran the server (I call him Server God), built a wall around it, and lit it up to keep the villagers safe. There are also iron golems.

Above it is a village in progress. It has a larger walled area, and some of the buildings have been completed. There will be a bank, whose construction is in progress. It has been in progress for many years. Banks are boring and collecting materials is very time consuming. There is a motel with two levels, and a manager's office. Because I've lost the location of the statue of Jowjo the Monkey, I started building a new one today. I have the feet completed.

When the village is completed, Jowjo will build a tunnel connecting the old village to the new village, and lead the villagers to the new village. Why? Because look at the area just above the minecraft generated village. Some players (they were young) have totally trashed the landscape. The Server God and Jowjo tried to be respectful of the landscape.

Jowjo has two mountain top fortresses, with elevated bridges connecting them. I'm quite proud of the bridges. Everything was mined, and I had to use ingenuity to build them to span between mountains.

The Server God made a huge ark, and he populated it with animals, and because the lighting is not the best, it is populated with monsters too. Later Jowjo made three flying pigs over the ark. That was a challenge. This is not a creative server, and only the Server God could do godlike things, like fly. I had to built a structure to climb and build the wooden pigs. It was nerve racking.

To the north of the ark is Jowjo's hobbit hole. It is built back into the side of a hill. It has a garden in the back. To the east of that is Jowjo's ark. It is smaller than the Server God's ark. I liked the idea of building an ark, but I learned from mythology tales that one does not show up the Server Gods.. Don't show off to the Server Gods. The Server God's ark is built to biblical scale. That's how the Server God thinks. Mine is not. It a big wooden boat with multiple levels. A Creeper once blew a hole in it.
The transport center is a place where one pushes a button and they teleport to a specified location. It is a BIG world on this server. One goes to fortress #2.
There are also Nether portals that provide short cuts to all over the world. We built enclosed tunnels and railways to connect the various points. The Pigmen are made at Jowjo, and I don't know why?

To the north is a tiny brown spot is identified as a pig statue. This is the pig statue pictured in the previous post.
I will post some pictures of some of the stuff on this server, but there really is too much. Maybe just the stuff touched on here. I don't know if Jowjo's stuff is particularly nice to look at. I tried. Regardless, I had hours of enjoyment, and so many places I visit I remember what I was doing. I realized that at the time and started naming things. The Craig Ferguson Hallway. The Freaks and Geeks stairway.

This is long. I should have written it in chapters. Instead I'll put it in a spoiler so it does not make your eyes bleed.
