I'm just like my 13 year old self at 26, no difference or an important achievement.

Putting more effort doesnt give any results. It just leads to burnout.

Sometimes I believe that I can't change at all and it's my destiny.

It takes a lot of trying, a lot of motivation (and loss of motivation) a lot of failure, and some small successes along the way.

Celebrate the small things when you can. Even if it's just going outside for a walk, putting in a job application, or trying something you don't usually do.

Have you tried seeing any mental health professionals? I feel like I gained the motivation to try to better myself after I went to my therapist for 3ish years. I still have a lot of things I want to improve on, and am still super hard on myself.

It's an ever lasting journey. You and I are still young and have plenty of time to get our ducks in a row. You won't get anywhere if you don't try. ʕ´•ᴥ•`ʔ

tackle the worst problem first... accept the things you can't change. There are things we can't change, but there are lots of things we can. One little change at a time , over a period of time, and suddenly you can look back and see how far you have come. So much depends on how much time and effort we put into things, but we might need "outside help" to sort out the things we are trying to do and make sure the way we go about it is healthy for us and will give us the thing we want to accomplish eventually. There is no shame in asking for input to make sure you are on the right track . sometimes we need outsiders with more life experience to point out things our autistic rigid thinking might have missed. If I could do it, I think almost anybody can. I had no idea where to start until I got counseling at age 30. It changed my life and saved my sanity even long before I found out about my autism. don't give up, but make sure you get the rest and self care you need while you are trying.
