It's just another day for many of us.

It used to be fun.  Now, it's more like any other day, especially that I live in the Philippines.

I will raise Old Glory outside my house, a nnd put on blue jeans and a red tee-shirt with white "USA" lettering.

Maybe I'll have a beer.

Meh.  Maybe not.

Same here except lots of places are closed & some bus systems do not run. That doesn't really affect me but might affect a bit of members.

I don't like it. I live somewhat close to where they set fireworks off in my town and it's so loud. Thankfully I'm not close enough to have to deal with the volume of people who show up for it. Beyond the big firework show, there are tons of people who set off fireworks and shoot guns in their yards/street. This starts up a week or two before the 4th and goes on for a week or two after. I don't care for this time of year. I'll be glad when its over.

I live in Canada so I don't celebrate the 4th of July.
But it will be July 4th up here as well. And the rest of the Northern hemisphere. Imagine that.

Americans are sometimes quite self centered in a funny way. I happened to be in Cannes, France, many years ago. It was July 4th, when an American struck up a conversation and asked if we celebrated 4th of July in Europe. "No, why would we?" I replied. He seemed to be really confused by that answear.

Southern hemisphere too, even if it's winter.

At this point of my life, I’m indifferent to it. I disliked it when I was younger because the sound of fireworks really bothered me.

A crackle tune will add pops and bangs to every commute. :nerdy:

It’s election day here in the UK which is quite exciting (not every year, just this year). There have been some puns in the newspapers about it also being Independence Day.
