‘Every Breath You Take’ - The Police
Along with ‘Born in the U.S.A.’ arguably one of the misinterpreted songs of all time.

‘One Way or Another’ - Blondie
Based on Debbie Harry’s personal experience

‘Obsession’ - Animotion

"Born in the USA"??????????????
By Springsteen?
Nothing to do with "stalking".

Though it IS widely misinterpreted. Misinterpreted as being patriotic. The chorus line snows folks. And caused a number of GOP candidates to wanna adopt it as their campaign theme songs. In fact its about an alienated Vietnam vet and the chorus line is meant to be darkly ironic.

In some ways the song works better as a rap song than as a rock song:

I was commenting on ‘Born in the USA’ not saying it was a stalking song. It was and is often misinterpreted for the reasons you state.

Re: Your Song About My Client Delilah, parody of Plain White T's song Hey There Delilah

Dear Mr. Higgenson, it's me, Delilah's lawyer
I am writing to inform you, there's a 3rd restraining order
In effect
The first two haven't stopped you yet
She's quite upset

Not patriotic?! :D

"Born down in a dead man's town
The first kick I took was when I hit the ground
You end up like a dog that's been beat too much
'Til you spend half your life just coverin' up

Born in the U.S.A
I was born in the U.S.A"
