Organisers of a neurodiversity-themed discussion featuring TV personality Christine McGuinness have had to move the event to a larger venue due to "unprecedented demand".

Mrs McGuinness, who has spoken publicly about her autism diagnosis, is due to take part in the 'We’re All Neurodiverse, Aren't We?' event at Leeds International Festival of Ideas.

Autistic and ADHD activist and writer Ellie Middleton will also be on the panel alongside dyspraxia advocate Tumi Sotire.

Festival Director Martin Dickson said he was "thrilled" to see tickets in such high demand, adding the 5 October event had moved to a larger theatre at the festival's home at Leeds Playhouse.

'Standout moment'
We’re All Neurodiverse, Aren't We?" is a nod to the famous Leeds United chant, "We're All Leeds Aren't We?".

The discussion will cover conditions including ADHD, autism, dyspraxia and dyslexia and examine how neurodivergence "touches every corner of society".

Also on the panel are Dr Alice Siberry, a specialist neurodiversity criminal justice consultant, and Doddz, an augmented reality artist who is open about his dyslexia.

The festival will take place at Leeds Playhouse between 2 and 5 October and feature talks and debates on journalism, entertainment, science and technology.

The line-up includes Sheffield musician Self Esteem, also known as Rebecca Lucy Taylor, and award-winning journalists, Kate Adie and Stacey Dooley.

Organisers said they wanted the festival to spark "dynamic conversations and foster meaningful connections among participants".
