I have been very concerned about this lately, are we ''cut off'' from NT's? I ask because at times I seem more focused on my schedule, such as my dog, working, and a female friend, is it possible that Aspies hold onto small amounts of people on the lower end of the Spectrum? I know what's going on but am not interested often. I have a tendency to ''zone out'' or get ''super lost'' in thought and have to remember where I am, and even my father seems to get annoyed asking me what are you thinking about ''outer space''. I just don't know what's wrong with him or other NT's they don't seem to understand when I say '' My thoughts are different'' and I am not thinking what you are.

People vary a lot in how much social interaction they need.

Are you the type of person who truly needs more then minimal social interaction or do you need minimal social action but are concerned because society sends constant messages that social interaction is the be all and end all of life?

This sounds like the double empathy problem to me.
