I do! I play the electric (no upright, though I'd love to learn) in a rock band - also play the guitar, piano and sing. We've gotten quite good, lots of good press. Biggest influences're Paul McCartney and John Entwhistle - I'll never be a 1/100th of the bass player John Entwhistle was, and he made it look easy.

Paul McCartney was a big influence on me, also. ♪♪♪

Cool, Back In the USSR is one of the highlights.

Recently, I bought "The Beatles Complete Scores," which contains sheet music for every song recorded by the Beatles, plus scores for all the instruments they have used. Payed about 80 bucks. It helps me with the bass lines. Awesome book. \m/

I play a J. Turser P-Style Bass. I like Stanely Clarke, Jaco Pastorius, Tina Weymouth, Geezer Butler, Roger Waters, Rob Wasserman and of course, Paul McCartney.

Thanks, Tom. I really miss Jaco for his fluid style. Has anyone seen Paul McCartney's Red Square performances?

I got Jaco's new tribute album last year with people like Marcus Miller doing all his most famous pieces. I really like Teen Town, portrait of Tracy and Come on Over. I can't imagine ever being able to play like him.
