I have an offbeat opening for most chess games to catch people off guard and trip them up.

If I play white, then it will be the Grob (1. g4), and the other player better think fast, because I know it like the back of my hand.

If I play black, then if White leads with 1. e4, we continue 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 f5 for the Latvian Gambit. I will also play 2. .. f5 in response to almost any other move by White, except d4.

If White leads with 1. d4, then we continue 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e5 for the Budapest Gambit, and White better have that down pat, because I know it like the back of my hand, and I particularly like the lesser known variation, the Fajarowicz.

I don't like playing normal openings, I always want to play something bizarre and make the opponent think for themselves.
