It came out in the last minute, but probably wouldn't have changed anyone's mind.

It would have changed no minds, I'm so sorry to say.

Trump has boasted about sexual assault, he has also bragged about invading the dressing rooms at pageants to check out the girls naked, and now he has been confirmed to be a rapist in court. None of that mattered, no matter how absolutely disgusting it is.

The morality of tens of millions of people in this country is at absolute zero. There's no restoring my faith in this country or its people now.

This is no longer America the Brave, it is now America the Depraved.

And... on top of all of that, this filthy sex predator who will now be the president says he will "protect" us women whether we like it or not. I am fuming at people for voting for this absolute creep. and for what...? He offers nothing. Nothing at all.

Once again, USA chose to elect a rapist instead of a woman. And I can't forgive this. At least the first time he lost the popular vote in a low turnout election. This time he won the popular vote. I am just...so done.

Everyone already knows he's a rapist and a pedophile, they voted for him anyways.

I think you may be right. I heard it explained by a USA "country person" who compared his support for Trump with hiring a lowlife jerk to clear the vermin from a house. He reckoned he had to hold his nose to support him, but that it was better than letting the vermin run riot and the lowlifer was the only man who was willing and able to do the job. By vermin he meant immigrants. So I suspect the rednecks don't all entirely approve of Trump as a man but they hate immigrants even more. Though the reason for what's just happened is probably more complex than that. It's tempting to equate a whole population with one person and to analyse his voting on that basis, but I doubt it's valid to do so.

Me, I wouldn't vote for anybody who had cheated on his wife, let alone the other horrible things he did, on the grounds that if his wife can't trust him then neither can I. Probably very perfectionist of me, but it can't be helped.
