I thus proclaim The Most Blessed Church of The Goodies to be open.

The Most Blessed Church of The Goodies strives to emulate the values that made The Goodies great, the continual acts of altruism for their fellow man. The human avatars for the holy trinity of Goodieness are:

Tim Brooke-Taylor, the Patriot

Graeme Garden, the Professor

Bill Oddie, the Powerful

and Shemp. (Wait, who put Shemp there? He was with the Three Stooges, idiot!)

Ahem.

Tim Brooke-Taylor, the Patriot

Graeme Garden, the Professor

Bill Oddie, the Powerful

All that we require is that adherents to this church take one of these as their aspect, and each week, go forth, and do.....good....to people.

(How wet!)

(Bill, please, shush. I'm putting you on a pedestal, here....)

Commandments to follow.

DISCLAIMER: This is just a funny church designed to encourage true religious debate over a 'trivial' religion. If you take it too seriously, that's your problem.

Serious debate here only. No rebuttals unless they're well thought out and have at least 95% non-l33t words.

Are they really good examples? Why not Winston Churchill?

Well, ok. But over what are we to be having this uber serious debate? I can't compose a rebuttal if nobody has proposed a proposal. :P Are we to be arguing over the legitimacy of this religion in general? Or is it more a matter of whether the hotdog and donut diner stand hats ought to be red or blue?

The way things are going, yes. But they were meant to be green.

By the way, an unforgiveable oath here would be "Bill Oddie hell." Say it and see why.

Damned is he who does not die in battle and go to Valhalla.

What are your qualifications for saying this? Are you a seminarian?

I have seen Valhalla. It is a fine place. I died in battle once, and was reborn into this accursed world.

No, nor is he a Samaritan.

Damnation is being concreted into a small office with two of your friends for 70 years.

We might have even our own flagellents section here for masochists and pentients. However, instead of whipping your backs, or using chiclices, you merely thump yourself over the head with a Lancastrian Black Pudding. You're considered extremely penitent if you give yourself concussion on the first go.
