Post videos of great sounding exhaust notes, or documentaries about the development of various engines.

I'll start with this one:

I've always been a big fan of how the VW W8 sounds, it's got four banks of two cylinders, formed by joining two 15° VR4 engines, placed on a single crankshaft, with each cylinder double bank now at a 72° vee angle.

Sadly they weren't very powerful and didn't last in production very long, but they sure sound nice.

Good lord, this should be in the adult section. That exhaust note is damn near pornographic. :D

You just can't beat the sound of the secondaries opening up on a Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor.

Enjoy!

Well I certainly prefer a car that sounds how it's supposed to, than one that doesn't. Lol it is cringe on my ears when I hear some problematic vehicles drive by where it's just like 'what is wrong with that vehicle it sounds like hell' the last car my boyfriend had was getting some noises, before we got the new car, every time we were driving it got just a loud sort of idk chugging noise, and apparently when my boyfriend got it looked at one of the axles may have started going bad or something....so instead of paying to fix all that he figured it was better to just get a different vehicle. But yeah it got to the point anytime we were driving it just made the horrible chugging sound, like it was the little car trying too hard to keep working, so luckily, we found a new vehicle before that one totally crapped out.

but other than that from time to time I am outside somewhere, where a car with idk the worst breaks or something else wrong it just comes loudly squeaking through the neighborhood or area I am walking, and I always end up commenting, like 'damn that car sounds like s**t' I don't know much about cars, but I can tell if it sounds like s**t vs how its supposed to sound.
