Hi everyone,

I wanted to start a thread to show some appreciation for one of our fellow members, Wrongplanet veteran shortfatbalduglyman (called “Man” hereafter). Like many of us, he has been navigating life with autism, and it sounds like Thanksgiving might be a tough time for him this year.

Man, I just want to say that you are a valued part of this community. Your posts are honest and unfiltered, which is something I admire. It’s not easy to speak so openly about struggles, and I think that kind of authenticity matters more than we realize.

Even if things feel bleak right now, I hope you know that you’re not alone. Your words resonate with people here, and there are others who care. If anyone has words of encouragement, memories of Man’s contributions, or just something kind to share, this is the place to do it.

Let’s show Man some support and remind him (and anyone else feeling the same way) that there’s a whole community here that appreciates them.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and Man - we’re glad you’re here.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who will be alone for the holiday, or with trying family, or in difficult gatherings to navigate.

Special hello and good wishes to shortfatbalduglyman.

There are times when SFBUM speaks for all of us. (or at least those who don't mind swearing :D)

Yes, I support those navigating challenging times.

If I may suggest to this user - consider a new username.

When you affirm to yourself (by using the handle whenever you post)
that you are fat and ugly, how is that good for your self esteem?

I realize the handle may have been made tongue in cheek, but I think it's
not the healthiest handle.
