I figured someone here might appreciate this, just not sure who yet. Tim's trying to assemble a way of thinking about life without nihilism, without identity-effacing nonduality, and it sounds like he's taken in a bit of process philosophy (ie. Whitehead) and run with it. The part that makes sense to me - we're all chains of subjective experience and we experience matter from the inside. If it turns out that the whole universe has evolutionary processes that would mean that we're part of a process more integrated than this orthogonal move from nothing going on to consciousness. It's still long, grueling and tedious as far as frames go but nihilistic not so much.
