Hello,

I'm looking for some advice / input on an issue that I have.

I have been invited to a couple family gatherings around Christmas time. Both of these gatherings are out of town and I have travel and accommodations already set up for me if I do choose to go.

I want to go as I don't want to spend Christmas alone. I am also hesitant to leave because I am dealing with major fatigue due to a chronic illness. I fear that I will burnout if I experience too much stimulation social or otherwise.

I don't know what to do, I feel so weak but I also do not want to miss out on spending Christmas with family.

So what do you think? Should I stay or should I go?

The emotional consequences of being alone on Christmas could be worse.

You should disclose your medical condition to your family members so they won't be bothered if you have to take a break from festivities.
